Safe HavenSEEDS creates brave spaces in which students of color can share themselves freely without judgment or condemnation. We foster environments where every student can be heard, seen, and respected.
Ally Relations
In order to enact change, it is essential to collaborate with a variety of individuals. We believe it is important for allies to be aware of the experiences of students of color. SEEDS members will have opportunities to engage in critical conversation with allies about how they can support students of color and their movement for change.
Professional DevelopmentSEEDS offers workshops and networking opportunities for members to further prepare for their career. We believe it is essential to collaborate with our peers to learn how we can be effective educators.
Mentorship
SEEDS members will have the opportunity to partner in mentorships with graduate/doctoral students, current teachers, and peers to promote personal and professional growth.
Community OutreachSEEDS values making connections with the community. We believe it is important to give back to our communities. SEEDS members have an opportunity to volunteer as a tutor for students at local schools. SEEDS also wants to work with individuals who are already working in the community as they provide our members with insight and advice before they begin their career.
Resource CenterSEEDS wants to support its members by connecting them to resources that will be beneficial as they navigate the college experience and prepare for their career. Members will have access to tutoring services, mental health support, upcoming scholarships, information on courses, and more!
